Celebrate Unicorns and Mermaids

Celebrate Unicorns! Celebrate Mermaids!

Wasn't really having a clear vision of anything when I started punching circles and picking out papers and color combinations.  I really wanted to play with my favorite colors ---Pink and Green and I did.  I usually hoard my DSP paper, but I know I can order more if I really ever went thought it!

For the Mermaids I wanted to do something with the DSP.  The background, use the mermaids on the paper. Add the glitter paper.  Create my own mermaid.

WIZARDS AND UNICORNS

WIZARDS AND UNICORNS? YES!!!

I know I am being "lazy" to not post all the products I used, but I wanted to share my latest creations.  Actually this was the January card gut challenge from my upline.  I picked my stamp set, decided to use the markers to color and the clear embellishments to add a bit of something. I used it on the end of the wand, along with adding wink of stella to the wand and horn and the crushed curry colored stars!

All the items I use are current Stampin' Up! products on this card.  If you check out the occasions catalog and the Sale-a-bration catalog you will find most of it.  I already have my next order starting to stack up!  You can order from the company straight through my demonstrator website.  This time of year, the more you spend the more free stuff you end up getting in your box (and now you know how I got hooked to be a demonstrator, I want it all).

DRAGONS

So much fun coloring and trying to coordinate how to place on the paper.  Figuring out how to make a brick wall background --- still not sure if I was making it or breaking the machine, but it has the texture!!!  Using the wink or stella to add some glitter and shine.  Trying to cut the DSP so that I had not used up anything "good" and realizing now I could have just cut some thin strips and not used a larger piece! doh!!!

Enjoying Sale-a-Bration this year and the occasions catalog.  Have more to post that I made from this set, it really seems to be my favorite, I have not even touched a couple sets I ordered because I keep pulling this one out!!!

Go to my Stampin' Up! demonstrator site and look at the current catalog and clearance items. They are always changing.  I am thinking about the heart punch for half off since it is almost February and I don't have one, I could use it to make heart shaped window boxes with my treat containers!

I am completely loving this new set!!!  The stamps, the die cuts, the DSP - I see so many great cards others have made and it makes me want to try some other creative attempts - like using the glitter paper with the dragon and piecing it back together!

Here is some of the cards I CASED or CREATED -

Remember - if you want to see the latest catalogs that are out, you can go to my SU website and it will link you to all the latest!  Contact me if you have any questions.

Celebrate Lavendar

Sale-A-Bration time is here!!!  Starting January 3rd you can earn this stamp set for FREE!!!!    Lots of Lavender and the Celebrate You thinlet dies. Also the Occasions Catalog will be out to tempt you - Spending enough to earn this amazing free items will be TOO easy!

1.  I LOVE to cut my paper at 4 1/4" by 11 (Wisteria Wonder), and then fold in half.
2.  Cut Wild Wasabi and Whisper White card stock
3.  Stamp Lavender onto center of Whisper White cardstock
4. Using the coordinated stamps, stamp flowers in Wisteria Wonder, leaves and stems in Wild Wasabi and the ribbon in Berry Burst.
5. Tear the paper along all the edges of the Whisper White cardstock (tearing toward you), drag paper along the edges of the Wisteria Wonder stamp pad. Glue the Wisteria/Wasabi together.
6.  Stamp a background onto the main card of Wisteria Wonder - use one of the smaller leaves stamps.
7.  Attach the flower to the card, toward the top of the page using stampin' dimensionals.
8.  Use the Big Shot to cut out a "celebrate" using Basic Black cardstock.
9.  Attach to the bottom of the card using rolled mini glue dots (my fine tip glue wasn't working).
10.  Use tweezers to pick up a rhinestone and attach to your card for some extra sparkle.

Items I used :

Sale-A-Bration catalog:
Lots of Lavender stamp set
Celebrate You thinlet dies

Cardstock:
Whisper White, Basic Black, Wild Wasabi and Wisteria Wonder

Stampin' Pads:
Basic Black, Wisteria Wonder, Wild Wasabi and Berry Burst

Accessories:
Big Shot
Rhinestone basic jewels
Bone Folder
Tweezers
Mini Glue Dots
Stampin' Dimensionals
Clear Blocks (a,b,d,e)

If you color in the leaves and flower it has a different feel to the card, but using the stamps and having the excess ink is charming and gives the card more rustic charm. I think.
